Visitors from St. Petersburg

Hansa Luftbild welcomed a number of professors and assistant teachers from the National Mineral Resources University, St. Petersburg.

Headed by Ass. Prof. Dr. Elena Bykova from St. Petersburg and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wilhelm Stelling, University of Applied Sciences Georg Agricola, Germany, the group's members informed themselves about the company's range of services and its current projects.

After the welcoming address by Hansa Luftbild's managing director, Dr.-Ing. Paul Hartfiel, there was a great deal of interest in the workflows of a leading service provider for geographic information and the current customer's requirements in large projects.

The delegation of nine members gained insight into the most recent methods of remote sensing and their use cases, the company's services in the field of regional and environmental planning and software development. As an example par excellence of a successful solution for sustainable land management, Hansa Luftbild's experts presented the modern property registration and land information system for the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. In cooperation with Ethiopian partners, this system was designed and developed in Münster since 2009.
