Hansa Luftbild award 2013

The Hansa Luftbild award 2013 has been conferred. It was presented to Dr Jochen Meidrow by Dr Paul Hartfiel, CEO of Hansa Luftbild, on 28.02.2013.

Since 1973 the award has customarily been presented at the annual scientific and technical conference held by the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation. This year the conference was held at  Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg and took place from 27 February to 1 March, 2013. This year’s prize winner is Dr Jochen Meidow of the Fraunhofer Institute for Optronics, System Technologies, and Image Exploitation. He received the 1,500 euro endowed prize for his research paper  “Efficient Multiple Loop Adjustment for Computer Vision Tasks“ published in the journal  "Photogrammetrie - Fernerkundung - Geoinformation" (PFG, 5/2012). The award was presented by Dr Paul Hartfiel, CEO of Hansa Luftbild AG, during the 28 February plenary session.
