Hansa Luftbild participates at Intergeo 2010 in Cologne

Again this year Hansa Luftbild will participate at the Intergeo exhibition in Cologne. This is a long tradition but this year a special obligation in our federal home state NRW. From October 5th to 7th, 2010 Hansa Luftbild will be present with its services at a enlarged booth at Hall 11_1, booth H120.

Large project in Ethiopia finalized

The aim of the project was to survey with high resolution airborne LiDAR and imagery the planned railway network of Ethiopia covering 7 alignments with a total length of around 5,060 km.

The purpose was to provide accurate survey data to prepare the feasibility study and associated preliminary design and later on the engineering design of the track alignments.

Furthermore it involved training railway and survey engineers in using laser data and GIS in the process of railway track design and analysis.

Hansa Luftbild successfully at Intergeo East

Hansa Luftbild has successfully participated in Intergeo East exhibition which was held in Istanbul from 20 to 21 of May.

Our participation shows the great interest in the region of Eastern Europe and Middle Asia.

Ash cloud permits aerial photography

Mid April 2010 the ash clouds of Iceland’s volcano Eyjafjallajoküll caused major problems for the civil air traffic (aircrafts with jet engines) in Europe. On the other hand, there were best weather conditions for aerial photography which allowed Hansa Luftbild to execute a project in the region of Mettmann. This region is close to Dusseldorf airport and it is almost impossible to get flight permission there due to the density of air traffic. Since the airport had to close due to the ash cloud the project was permitted to be executed (client: District Government of Cologne).

For that reason an ash cloud enabled successful aerial photography execution.
